BRAZILIAN striker Wes Da Silva signed off in grand style before returning to South America with a hat-trick in Ryhall’s 5-0 win at Peterborough Rovers.

Ryhall opened the scoring midway through the first half when Eddy Pentney headed in from a James Farmbrough cross.

Pentney was set to double the lead five minutes later before being hacked down clean through on goal. Da Silva dispatched the resulting penalty.

Da Silva extended Ryhall’s lead at the start of the second half; beating two defenders before unleashing an unstoppable shot. The Samba star then sealed his hat-trick in outstanding style, spotting Rovers’ keeper off his line before chipping the ball in from 25 yards.

Danny Sheehan was felled as he dribbled into the area for a second spot kick which Pentney converted.

Da Silva returns to Brazil with an impressive 10 goals from 11 games this season and will be missed by the club.
