Stamford AFC skipper Richard Jones is dreaming of reaching the FA Cup first round proper.
The Daniels have successfully negotiated two rounds of the famous competition to reach the third qualifying round stage.
They have been handed a home draw against Evo-Stik League Northern Premier Division rivals Ashton United. The match will be staged at the Vic Couzens Stadium on October 12.
Jones said: “The FA Cup is massive for the lads.
“Every non-league player dreams about playing in the first round proper and we are potentially two games away from making it.
“It is a good chance to put Stamford AFC on the map.”
Victory against Ashton would see the Daniels double the £7,500 they have already pocketed in FA Cup prize money this season.
Stamford were beaten 2-1 at Ashton in a league fixture nine days ago despite playing against 10 men for the majority of the contest.
