Uppingham Town 0 Netherton 2

PETERBOROUGH and District League leaders left Uppingham with all three points on Saturday afternoon.

The visitors were 1-0 ahead at half time and hit Uppingham on the break in the second half.

Town skipper Martin Bennet said: “It was not bad effort but they moved the ball faster than us and created more space.

“Tom Hubbard kept us in it in the first half but we had a few chances. Dave Laughton had a good chance but took one touch too many.”

Uppingham play Peterborough Sports Parkway on Saturday. The two sides drew 1-1 on the opening day of the season.
