THE Daniels returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory at Loughborough Dynamo yesterday evening.

Jake Gibson scored in the first half and Jordan Smith curled in Stamford’s second after the interval.

Stamford, with four wins from five in the league, are second in the Evo-Stik League First Division South.

They face Holbeach United away in the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon.

DEEPING Rangers moved to third in the United Counties League Premier Division with a 3-1 win away against Peterborough Northern Star yesterday evening.

Ciaron Holt, who made such an impact as substitute during Saturday’s win at Yaxley, gave Rangers the lead on the quarter hour, sweeping in a low centre from Lawrence Lambley.

But Rangers’ lead was shortlived with Nick Davey levelling just minutes later.

Alex Beck followed up Saturday’s hat-trick with Rangers’ second just before half-time.

In the second half, Holt struck the woodwork before substitute Matt Heron headed home a 67th minute corner.

Deeping host Desborough Town at Outgang Road on Saturday.

BLACKSTONES are back in action this evening when they take on unbeaten Holbeach United at Carter’s Park. Kick off is at 7.45pm.
