BOURNE Ladies resumed their Fenland Ladies League programme in grand style at The Rec on Sunday.

Despite not having a match for four weeks, the home side were soon in control as midway through the first half Rosie Baker opened the scoring with a shot from close range.

Bourne doubled their lead when Claire Lawrenson scored a fine individual goal.

After a number of chances went begging, Bourne Ladies increased their lead in the second half when player-of-the-match Baker scored her second goal from close range.

Bourne’s fourth goal was scored by Benita Webster who cut in from the right hand side and slammed the ball home.

Emma Ketteringham fired into the roof of the net following a great move down the left for the fifth.

Tina Crawley of Bourne Ladies said: “Bourne played some of their best football of the season with neat passing, great movement and should take a great deal of confidence into their next game.”
