Saturday’s hero Danny Brooks promises to keep the long range strikes coming after scoring the Daniels’ winner against FC United in the FA Trophy on Saturday.
Brooks, who misses this evening’s game at league leaders Coalville through suspension, fired Stamford into the next round after Gary King had levelled early in the second half.
The midfielder, who enjoys a shot from outside the box, said: “I will keep trying. I’ve got quite a powerful shot and one or two of the lads said it looked good from when I hit it.
“When their keeper went off on Saturday we all said to each other lets get some shots off.”
Saturday’s 2-1 victory against their higher league opponents was in front of Stamford’s biggest crowd in seven years (749) and rewarded the Daniels with a home tie against another Evo_Stik Premier League side in the next round - Buxton on November 10.
“They knocked us out of the FA Cup this season but it’s a winnable game,” said Brooks, who will be available for the visit of Sheffield FC to Kettering Road on Saturday.
He added: “It was a massive win for us on Saturday. We did not speak about the number of people at the match - it was just another game.
“We changed tactics. The idea was to hit them on the break and then support Greg up front. The gaffer put his faith in us and it worked.”
Tonight’s match at Coalville kicks off at 7.45pm.
