Leicester City will face a tough start on their return to the Barclays Premier League after drawing three sides who finished in the top five last season in the first month of competition.

Nigel Pearson’s side will welcome Everton, who finished in fifth place last season, to the King Power Stadium on opening day.

Next up for the newly promoted side who won the Championship in 2013/14 is a daunting away trip to big spending Chelsea who are looking to go two places better than their third place finish last season.

The first month concludes with the visit of fourth place finishers Arsenal.

Other highlights of the season include: Manchester United at home on September 20, Liverpool on a Tuesday night on December 2, Manchester City on December 13 and Tottenham Hotspurs at the King Power on Boxing Day.

The good news for Leicester, who have not been in the top flight of English football for a decade, is should they be in a relegation scrap come the end of the season they have a relatively easy run-in in April and May.

The final game of the 2014/15 season will be against Queens Park Rangers who were also promoted this season.
