Uppingham Town were knocked out of the Jelson Cup at Aylestone Park on Tuesday evening.
The Leicester side won the quarter-final tie 5-1 after taking a 3-0 half-time lead.
Oli Webb pulled one back for Town early in the second half but Aylestone’s fourth killed off any hopes of a revival.
Town boss Richard Kendrick said: “I am not disappointed. We lost to a very good side.
“There were a lot of positives and every lad will have learnt something from the game.
“It was a very good goal from Oli. He took it very well.”
Uppingahm travel to Moulton Harrox for another quarter final - in the Peterborough League’s senior cup - on Saturday and Kendrick added: “It’s a big game. We have to pick our heads up for Saturday.”
