Jones De Sousa snatched a last-gasp equaliser to earn Bourne Town 1-1 draw at Bugbrooke St Michaels to earn a useful point in the UCL Division One.

Callum Beech fired the hosts ahead on 55 minutes and they seemed set to avenge their recent defeat at the Abbey Lawn until De Sousa struck two minutes into added time.

Wakes boss Rafa Mazzarella said: “We piled on the pressure in the final 15 minutes and it was nice to get our reward. There was nothing between the two sides.”

Bugbrooke took the lead when right-back Lewis Hall, who has impressed in recent weeks after being promoted from the reserves, stumbled on the ball and was punished, but the Wakes levelled after fine work from Henry Dunn.

Dunn, who played in several positions during the game, beat two men down the right and found De Sousa who fired home.

Bourne: Fagan, Hall (Elger), Wilson, Moss, Deykin, Jesson, De Sousa, Rook, Spearink (Williams), Dunn, Bull (McKue).
