Fun in the sun for Bourne Rugby Club

Bourne Rugby Club had little respite after the end of the season and have already kick-started their pre-season campaign.

However, rather than working too hard on fitness or tactics, sessions at the moment are geared very much towards fun in the sun!

Mixed touch rugby is running at 7pm every Thursday and is open to anybody regardless of ability, age or gender.

At the first of these sessions the stars of the show were undoubtedly the youngsters, average age just six, who led the way in terms of both skills and fitness.

Club vice-captain Neil Wood, in attendance with his son, said how good the session had been but was particularly pleased at how well the youngsters had performed.

Wood said: “It was great to be back into things already but I struggled to keep up with the kids. Never mind, the club will have a great side 13 years from now!”
