Mairead continues fantastic form to grab St George's glory

Toft Ladies produced a superb performance to progress in the Annodata Matchplay national competition with a whitewash home win against Burghley Park’s A team.

On a day which threw up all types of weather including rain, hail, wind, sunshine and a spat of thunder and lightning, the Toft team mastered not only adverse playing conditions but also their opponents with a cracking 5-0 success in the second round clash.

Some scores allowed the players an early escape to the safety of the clubhouse with only one really close encounter.
