Bourne Town Harriers fielded 23 runners in the first round of the 2012-13 Frostbite Series at Priory Park, St Neots, on Sunday.

Leading the juniors home, in their first race of the season, was Martin Clarke in seventh place overall.

He was followed by Megan Ellison 14th, Cameron Everist 30th, Ethan Everist 39th, Beth Howells 68th, Alfie Bennett 74th, Daniel Lawrance 77th, Leah Clark 82nd, Molly Bennett 87th and Toby Everist 133rd.

The seniors were missing a third scoring lady so the final team place was lower than expected. Those who ran for the Harriers were Vaughan Roberts (40th), Rich Lomas-Brown (66th), Shaun Hill (69th), Joe Howells (76th), Brain McLean (163rd), Victoria Cocking (181st), Roland Stevens (185th), Richard Pearson (238th), Richard Smithers (252nd), John Clarke (268th), Dave Grace (287th), Alison Clarke (372nd), Malcolm Scriven (373rd).

The next outing for the Harriers will be on October 20 in the North Midlands League, a new addition to the Harriers’ calendar this season. The first meeting is at Derby.

Bourne Town Harriers’ main club training night is on Tuesdays at 6.30pm with junior training on Fridays from 6pm until 7pm. A further senior training night is on Thursdays. Full details of the sessions are online at www.bournetownharriers.org.
