Round-up of the weekend action from Uppingham Cricket Club
Sam Hodson hit a sensational double century as Uppingham Town racked up the runs on Sunday.
Opener Hodson made 203 as Town totalled a massive 420-4 from their 45 overs against Uffington in the Rutland League Division One match.
Fellow opener George Morley also made 102 as newly-promoted Town went on to secure their third win from four outings in the top flight.
Charlie Cox was unbeaten on 35 at the close while Harry Tattersall struck 43 to leave Uffington with an imposing run chase.
And the hosts were then bowled out for 150 in their reply as Town shared out the wickets among their bowling attack.
Phil Nichols, Cox, Sam Rees and Charles Richardson all took two wickets each with Damien Herrick top-scoring for Uffington with 35.
The Sunday success followed hot on the heels of the Saturday first team recording their maiden win of the Leicestershire League Premier Division campaign.
Town triumphed by 16 runs in the basement battle with second-from-bottom Lutterworth at Castle Hill.
Uppingham had made 217-7 from their 50 overs after being put into bat with Ben Harford top-scoring with 80.
Mark Cox added 38 after openers Ben Farnsworth (22) and Liam Geddie (33) had given Town a solid start.
Lutterworth also began brightly in their reply and had moved onto 112-3 before Jake Kura and Scott Green came into the Town attack.
Kura claimed 4-37 from 10 overs and Green took 4-25 from a similar stint as Lutterworth were bowled out for 201 despite number 10 batsman Jack Sutherland striking four fours and four sixes in a rapid 61 not out off just 36 deliveries.
Although the victory hasn't moved Town off the bottom of the table, they are now within touching distance of both Lutterworth and near neighbours Oakham ahead of this weekend's trip to eighth-placed Kegworth.
Uppingham 2nds went down to a narrow 20-run reversal in their Division Six East trip to Aryans.
Zahoor Munaf had taken 4-24 while there were two wickets apiece for Charlie Cox and Harry Wade as Aryans were bowled out for 145.
Ickey Singh struck an unbeaten 50 in Town's reply but they were bowled out for 125 as Sanj Rana took 5-28 for the victorious hosts.
Uppingham 3rds were celebrating derby delight in Division Nine East after an 84-run win against Market Overton 2nds.
They made 179-9 after batting first with Will Rossiter (32) and Franz Muller (35) their top scorers. Mo Ali was the pick of the Marko attack with 5-36 from nine overs.
Charlie Burgess (3-35) and Charlie Richardson (3-1 off three overs) then spearheaded the Town attack as Marko were dismissed for 95 in reply.
Freddy Williamson also weighed in with 2-11 while Ryan Sheehan claimed the other wicket to fall with Tim Willford top-scoring for the hosts with 28 not out.
