Langtoft United claimed their first cup win in nine attempts to move into the quarter-finals of the PFA Senior Cup on Saturday (December 12).

The PDFL Premier Division side triumphed 2-1 at First Division outfit Wisbect Town Reserves thanks to goals from Joe Dobson and Daniel Morris.

The victory was not without some late drama however. Crucially the Vikings’ goalkeeper Andrew Isabell saved an 88th minute penalty to send them through to the next round.

George Buckenham had equalised early in the second half for the home side. Langoft, who last won a cup match when winning the Chairman’s Shield Final in May 2014 (they’ve had eight first round exits in various competitions since), now travel to Premier Division rivals Pinchbeck United in the last eight.
