Leicester City legend Steve Walsh will lead a team of ex-Foxes players against a Blackstones XI captained by Trevor Smith and managed by Mel Landin on Sunday.

The game, which will kick-off at 2pm at Blackstones’ Lincoln Road ground in Stamford has been organised as part of a new partnership between the junior and senior sections of the club to help strengthen the club in the future after a difficult season for the UCL Division One side.

Organiser Justin Osborne: “The idea of the day is to get Blackstones back on the map.”

There be a raffle for a signed Leicester City shirt, with proceeds going to the Seb Goold fund.

There will also be a football memorabilia auction, barbecue, children’s penalty shootout at half-time and Walsh will be doing a booking signing.

Admission is £5 for adults and £1 for children.
