Bourne Deeping Ladies 2nds goalkeeper Phoebe Martin made a series of spectacular saves to keep the score down against Long Sutton 2nds she could not prevent her side losing 4-0.

Efforts from the Dragon’s midfield to push the ball up the pitch were challenged on numerous occasions by Long Sutton. However Bourne Deeping still persevered. After a good break from midfield, Kat Kennedy attempted a strike which missed the goal by inches.

A strike from the Long Sutton forward was saved by the goalie but unfortunately the rebound was pushed into the goal. Long Sutton quickly added to the score line again making it 2-0. However this did not dampen the Dragon’s spirit, with their shape and communication really coming together towards the end of the first half.

Bourne Deeping started the second half as they finished the first, having most of the possession. They successfully attacked the Long Sutton circle which resulted in a short corner but were unable to convert. However Long Sutton scored twice before the final whistle.
