TOFT Seniors enjoyed a successful spell last week beating Sleaford Seniors 5-3 and whitewashing Boston West 8 - 0.

l TOFT ladies enjoyed their Friendly away match against Boston West despite showery conditions, winning and the result was a spirited win for the visitors by 3½-½.

Results: Sandra Wildmore/Carole Priestman won 2 up; Lorraine Robinson/Mandy Lees won 4&2; Mary Stark/Boston West player halved; Judith Childs/Bee McKechnie (Birthday Girl) won 3&2.

Toft Ladies’ traditional Away Day special outing took place at Oundle Golf Club.

The trip was organised by Lady Captain Sandra Wildmore. 16 players relished the good weather and a challenging course.

Drawn pairings played a Stableford round with prizes for an individual winner, mystery couple and two mystery holes and the overall champion was Lisa Gauci with yet another fine tally of 33 points.

Two pairs shared first place on 47 points, Margaret Dair and Hayley Hunt, and Judith Frame and Lisa Gauci. The booby prize was lifted by Anne Wildish and Jean Parsons on 26. The two mystery hole winners were Anne Wildish (4 points) and Judith Childs (3 points).

At the end of a jolly day out, thanks were expressed to Bee McKechnie for treating the ladies to a round of drinks and the mystery hole prizes, and to organiser supreme Sandra Wildmore.
