Bart Kiers led a trio of Bourne Wheelers home in the fifth round of the Lincolnshire Cyclo-Cross League at South Ormsby on Sunday.
All three rode exceptionally well, with Bart Kieres being the pick of the trio, finishing a career best seventh in the seniors race.
This ride shows that Bart is well on the way to repeating his success of last year as senior cyclo-cross champion and he already has a substannial lead over his rivals.
The other two riders were in the youth race. Tim James for the third time this year had to contend with mechanical issues as a crash caused his gear shifters to break, meaning he had to run nearly a whole lap to get to the pits to get his spare bike.
Despite this he still placed fourth overall and second under 16.
Aaron Bateman had his best ride of the year taking sixth overall and third in the U14 category.
