WINNER of South Witham Angling Club’s Kenny Palmer Memorial Match was Ben Sharpe on a superb day of angling.
The Bussack Lake did not disappoint with all anglers catching well. The majority of the fish caught were skimmer bream between 1lb and 2.5lbs with good nets of roach.
Ben’s winning catch was a cracking net of mainly big skimmer bream and roach while new member Dean Horton netted a 5lb tench in his second-place bag of 26lb 3oz. Bob Burton was third with 16lb 20z, fourth Rob Lambert with 12lb 4oz and Kenny’s brother Nick Palmer in fifth spot weighing in with 10lb 2oz. Nick Measures who worked hard all match on the whip closed in to record 10lb 1oz of mainly roach to finish sixth.
