BDHC Ladies 0 St Neots 0

With injuries affecting the squad, several players were in unfamilar positions and BDHC found themselves unable to play their usual strong, attacking game.

St Neots never looked the better team but Bourne Deeping didn’t capitalise on three short corners, despite powerful strikes from Camilla Smith.

Goalkeeper Katie Woodward and sweeper Jan Havemann ensured a clean sheet.

BDHC 2nd 7 Boston 0

SKIPPER Phil Tokens asked for an early goal and Tommy Stopper duly scored within the first five minutes after some great skills on the Boston back line.

Ben Dalgliesh scored the second with a strong run into the D and a composed flick past the keeper. Dalgliesh scored another soon after, stealing the ball in the Boston D and pushing the ball over the line before anyone could tackle.

Stopper scored another quality goal, with a reverse stick shot, and Simon Wilmot scored from a penalty corner.

Chris Mann added the sixth from a great turn and snapshot and the youthful Kevin Baker set up Mike Gregson for a gentle push-in from a well worked short corner routine.

Although Boston only had the bare 11 players and had one was called away, they looked dangerous on the break.

Will Anderson had another excellent game deflecting one shot onto a post while Stewart Dacre atoned for his error two weeks ago, making two saves after Boston had beaten the keeper.
