TOFT lady golfers kept up their good work on the course before and after the Christmas break.

Two fun competitions were played over nine holes; both shortened by unfavourable weather conditions.

The first was a Throw the Ball Stableford where a player could improve a ball position with a canny throw. Judith Frame won with 18 points, pushing Sandra Wildmore into second place on countback.

The Jingle Bells team competition, with festive accessories on display and with all four scores counting on holes with a bell was won by the team featuring lady captain Pat Key, Jacqueline Hilton, Helen Roscoe and Margaret Dair. Runners-up were Angela Bedwell, June Sedwill, Jean Parsons and Judith Childs.

The Men’s Christmas Stableford, open to the ladies, saw Viv Stanton up for the challenge. Her tally of 40 points put her in third place.
