MTTG A continued their quest to regain the Division 1 championship trophy with an 8-2 win at Stamford Free Church.

Peter Munch continued his impressive season by defeating two of the league-leaders’ players, but he was undone by the speed and agility of Chris Weston. Chris was unbeaten, and he is eyeing this season’s averages trophy.

With the top four finishers competing for the President’s Cup later in the season, Braunston A continued their challenge by defeating MTTG B.

On this occasion, Chuck Kershaw and David Webb remained unbeaten in an 8-2 scoreline.

The only match in Division 2 this week saw Bourne C leapfrog their club rivals Bourne D to head the table.

Harry Jackson led the way for the new leaders with three wins, while Kevin Day chipped in with two. One or two clubs have games in hand, however, and it will be three or four more weeks before promotion places become clearer - but it remains a competitive division.
