YOUNGSTERS can try netball at a new junior programme which starts at Deeping Leisure Centre this month.

England Netball and Lincolnshire Sports Partnership are delivering a 10 week programme of High Five Netball at the venue for children aged 9–11 years.

The programme will provide an introduction to ball skills, movement drills, and game play to develop the High Five game. The long term aim is to develop a junior club for the Bourne and Deepings area, catering for all ages and abilities.

Louise Key, England Netball Development Officer for Lincolnshire, said: “High Five is specifically for children aged 9-11 years and is a great way for kids to get active and make new friends.”

High Five is five-a-side game for U11s that gives every child the chance to experience and enjoy every position, as well as the off the court roles. The first session starts on Monday at the Deepings Leisure Centre from 5pm-6pm. The programme costs £25 for 10 weeks.
