In division two, Bourne C have opened up a seemingly significant gap between themselves and the third placed team. This week they defeated the young Tallington B squad 10-0, with Harry Jackson, Clive Jackson and Kevin Day all winning three times.
Harry, with just one defeat all season, is still playing hard for the averages trophy, but Uffington CC A’s Matt Durrands has yet to be beaten.
Tallington A have dropped off the pace a little but defeated Nomads 7-3. Paul Ramm and Richard Allen each won all of their matches. Similarly, Braunston B have begun their late-season effort to climb the table with a 9-1 victory over Bourne E.
David Smart and Bill Seese were unbeaten, while Cedric Phillips backed them up with two further points. With games in hand, they might still pressure the top two.
