The opening rounds of the South Lincolnshire Golf League resulted in two wins and a loss for Toft’s three teams.
Toft’s A team travelled to last year’s division one winners. Belton Park which was always going to be a big challenge.
A club spokesman said: “After being battered by the wind all afternoon, Toft unfortunately didn’t manage to get anything from the game with a disappointing 4-2 defeat.
“The team is still in high spirits and raring to go for their next encounter, against Boston. With a few more players available Toft will definitely be looking for their first win of the season.”

On Saturday, Toft B team entertained Belton Woods in their first game of the 2013 season. It was a close run series of games with Toft eventually winning 5-1.

Toft C team won 5-1 at Greetham Valley.

l Eighteen Toft ladies played the annual Ormrod Challenge Trophy in tough, windy conditions.
Nevertheless Viv Stanton produced an outstanding round of golf to win with 40 Stableford points,11 ahead of the field.
Viv’s performance was all the more remarkable as prior to this event her handicap had been reduced by two shots. This latest victory led to a further cut of three.
Mairead Scott was second on countback with 29 points, and Jacqueline Hilton was third.
Toft ladies’ first friendly match of the season away against Belton Woods proved a tough contest.
The home team put up strong performances and were the worthy winners by 3-1 but the Toft team came close in two matches.

Helen Roscoe won the Winter League Knockout Competition to claim the Susan Sadler Salver. She won the 18-hole Stableford on countback, edging Cathy Lee (33 pts) into second with Mairead Scott (24) into third.
Cathy Lee topped the field when the 2012/13 Eclectic final results were tallied. Cathy, with 65.00, won by a whisker, ahead of Viv Stanton on 65.13 with Mairead Scott third on 66.75.
