Second place finish and new class lap record for Dolby
A Rutland based racing driver is hitting top form at the start of the new 2019 season.
Lee Dolby will be competing in this year's 750 Motor Club Sports Specials Championship that is incorporating the all new Ma7da series.
The first round of the campaign got underway at Brands Hatch last weekend and the results were promising.
After a difficult qualifying session and getting held up by cars that were slower (although in a more powerful class) he managed to pick his way through the field to finish second in class and also set a new class lap record.
Lee said “I could not have asked for a better start to the season, without my amazing sponsors and of course Richard and Josh of SRB racing I would not have a package to enable me to compete at this level”
Lee is managed and looked after by Richard Bradley of SRB Racing whose son is a common sight on the F1 scene as he is an engineer for Lewis Hamilton.
Preparations are underway for the next race at Castle Combe on May 27 where Lee and his team will be looking to add to their points tally.
