The opportunity of a fresh challenge has led to Ben Easson becoming the new joint player-manager of Uppingham Town.
The 28-year-old has ended his three-season playing stint with Blackstones to join forces with Ryan Hunnings at the helm of the Peterborough League Premier Division club.
Although it’s an earlier-than-expected move into management for Easson - who won the Peterborough Premier Division title in 2015 with near neighbours Oakham United - it’s an opportunity that the Rutland personal fitness trainer is relishing.
