Natural Bourne Runners is new club for athletes of all abilities
Bourne has a new running club with the aim of providing the town with an alternative group which caters for all abilities.
Natural Bourne Runners may only be 10 weeks old but already has nearly 50 members, attracting runners to its two midweek and two weekend sessions.
Steve Cole, one of the founders, explained: “We identified a need for a friendly running club that catered for both men and woman of varying abilities, focused on running but not forgetting the social aspects either.
“We have runners looking to improve their 5k or 10k times, some want to run a half marathon and others just want to improve their fitness. We even have four members running ultra-marathons next year.
“But they all share one common goal – to run in a friendly, encouraging environment. We promise that no-one gets left behind.”
The group is free of charge to join and run and has two British Athletics ‘Leadership in Running Fitness (LiBF)’ qualified run leaders.
They currently offer four sessions a week, Monday and Wednesday evenings and two more on a Saturday.
