Stamford AFC will be forming a new women's senior team for the 2022/23 season.

Competing in Division One of the Lincolnshire League, the team will be managed by Robin Chaudhuri, assisted by Dave Ribakovs and player-coach Emily Ingle, with all benefitting with connections and success at county and regional levels.

Fixtures will be played on both the club’s 3G and the Zeeco Stadium pitches.

Club director Guy Walton commented: “We have been planning to reform our women’s team for several seasons and, with the directors’ support, have attracted a successful experienced management team who will play a significant role in contributing to the fantastic community programme of teams we currently present.”

The club has arranged an open session at the Zeeco Stadium to be held on Sunday, May 22, from 10am until noon and they welcome enquiries from both recent Under-16 players and those with added experience at county/regional levels.
