Oakham United included in this year’s Groundhop

Oakham’s first match in the UCL Division One will be a special occasion as well as it’s been included in the plans for Groudhop - a football movement which sees fans travel around as many grounds as they can in one weekend.

The intinial plans for Groundhop this year are to go to Harborough Town on Friday, July 31, 7.45pm ko.. On Saturday the group will start at Ketton at 10.45pm ko, followed by Blackstones at 1.45p, Rutland Dead Rabbits at 5pm and then Oakham United at 7.45pm.

On the Sunday at 10.45am they will go to Thrapston Town, 2pm Oundle Town and 5pm Kings Cliffe United.

Oakham and Oldaker not wanting to do things by half want their game to break the local record for the highest attendance at a Groundhop game with stands at 518. It will certianly be an exciting way to start line in the UCL.
