Bourne Town preview.

Bourne Town were well beaten on the scoreboard by promotion chasing Rothwell Corinthians in the UCL Division One on Saturday but that didn’t tell the full story.

The Wakes lost 3-0 at the Abby Lawn as Rothwell took another step towards a top flight return as they completed a double over Bourne.

Cameron Starsmore gave Corinths a perfect start with the fifth minute opener.

Bourne’s comeback hopes were dashed by the dismissal of Aris Placis late in the game and the visitors made their man advantage count with a stoppage time brace from Chris Clarke who scored after 91 and 93 minutes.

Bourne: Aaron Fagan, Aris Placis, Dan Wilson (Lewis Hall), Andy Moss, Aaron Jesson, Mark Walklin, Tyler Sculthorpe, Jack Bottreill, Scott Spearink, Josh Hales (Zak Munton), Harley Williams (Kieran Blanchard).
