In-form Deeping Rangers made it six wins from their last seven United Counties League Premier Division matches after a 4-1 away win at St Andrews on Saturday.

Despite falling behind to a ninth minute opener, Rangers responded to lead at the break following strikes from Scott Coupland and Michael Simpson.

Chris Hollist netted for the second successive Saturday to increase Rangers’ advantage in the second period before Coupland completed the scoring with his second and Deeping’s fourth.

The victory moves Michael Goode’s charges into fourth place in a keenly-contested Premier Division title race.

They are just six points adrift of table-topping Yaxley with four games in hand. The Clarets’ next three games are all at home where they are unbeaten in the league this season.

Blackstones are also in a rich vein of form after recording a fourth successive Division One victory with a 2-0 home win over Bugbrooke.

Danny Barker bagged a brace with two goals in seven second half minutes to keep Stones in fourth place.

Oakham suffered a 3-1 home defeat against Lutterworth Athletic.
