Rangers smash six past Huntingdon to make Hinchingbrooke Cup semi-finals

Deeping Rangers breezed into the Hinchingbrooke Cup semi-finals with a comfortable 6-1 win over Huntingdon Town at the Haydon Whitham Stadium on Tuesday night.

Will Bird put them ahead four minutes in and Spencer Tinkler doubled the lead on the quarter-hour mark.

Skipper David Burton-Jones scored two goals after 26 and 27 minutes.

Jezz Goldson-Williams made it 5-0 with eight minutes remaining in the first half.

Gui Mailancol replied for Huntingdon Town after 42 minutes.

Joe Hood completed the scoring two minutes past the hour mark.

Deeping are away to Sileby Rangers on Saturday.

The Northampton side are battling against relegation but they took a point in Michael Goode’s first game in charge.
