It was a record-breaking year for Bourne’s Run in the Woods – with more than 400 people taking part and new fastest times set.

Organised by the Rotary Club of Bourne, the event sees runners take on either a 3km or 10km course through Bourne Wood. A total of 410 people took part on Sunday, raising more than £4,000 for good causes locally and further afield.

William Tucker, 15, from Grantham Athletic Club, won the men’s 3km in 10 minutes and 48 seconds - knocking six seconds off the record. Ben Heron, 31, of Eye Community Runners won the 10km race in 34 minutes and 18 seconds - 41 seconds better than the previous record time.

In the women’s events, Elin James, 13, of Bourne Town Harriers won the 3km in a time of 12.14, while Katie Arnold, 26, of Stamford Striders was victorious in the 10km, finishing in 43.20.
