BOURNE and Market Deeping Cricket Clubs were among the trophy winners at the Lincolnshire ECB Premier League Annual Awards night at Hemswell Court last Friday.

Bourne captain Peter Morgan received the league runners-up trophy, while David Gillett of Market Deeping picked up the award for the most fielding catches in a season. His 20 catches set a new league record, breaking his old record in the process.

Although not present at the awards night, Pakistani Fahad Masood, who played his cricket for Bourne last season, was awarded the bowling trophy, an award for the most wickets in a season and a share of the trophy for the most man-of-the-match awards.

Guest speaker at the evening was former Surrey and Nottinghamshire all-rounder Darren Bicknell, who entertained 112 diners with tales of his professional cricket career.
