Langtoft Road Race has been cancelled for the second successive year due to the coronavirus pandemic
Organisers of the popular Langtoft Road Race have been forced to cancel the event for the second successive year.
The 10k and 3k races had been scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 2, but organisers felt the easing of the current coronavirus restrictions wouldn't come soon enough.
A statement from the Road Race committee said: "We had been putting off confirming it, but I am sure it will come as no surprise when we tell you that we won't be able to stage our next event until May 2022.
"The easing of social restrictions will come too late for this year’s event, but we hope to see everyone again next year."
The Oundle 20-mile road race event - which had been scheduled to take place next month - has been rearranged for later in the year and will now be staged on Sunday, August 22.
