Organisers hoping for bumper turn-out at 30th anniversary of event
Time is running out to enter the Langtoft 10k, which celebrates its 30th event this year.
Entries to the popular road race are only available online ahead of the event on Sunday, May 5. The booking system is due to close on Wednesday or sooner if the 400-runner limit is reached.
The 10k, which starts and finishes in Langtoft and passes through Greatford and Barholm, will be under starter’s orders at 11.15am.
A 3k fun run will take place at 10.15am with entries for that event available online or on the day.
There will be medals for all finishers and prizes in a range of categories, including £25 to the first male and female U25s in the 10k and £100 to anyone breaking the 10k course record.
An additional attraction at this year’s event will be chip timing that will provide a full results service.
Langtoft Road Run Committee chairman Martin Tooth said: “We’d encourage anyone thinking of entering the 10k to do so as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
"Our event is for all ages and all abilities - from the novice runner to the veteran with many miles in their legs.
“We’re really hoping to see a bumper turn-out of runners and spectators for this anniversary event and look forward to welcoming people to the village.”
