New signing Alex Walton scored his second goal in two games to earn Ryhall United a point against the PDFL Divsion One leaders Coates Athletic Reserves on Saturday.

In fact it looked like the young striker’s goal was going to be enough to deliver victory as they were the better side for the majority of the game.

However Paul Hibbins popped up with a goal late in the day to make the final score 1-1.

Walton headed home a Barry Burton free-kick to give his side the lead and the club’s top goal scorer Ryan Brown really should have added to their tally.

Two efforts from the striker were saved by the Coates goalkeeper and the visiting defence were struggling to deal with Ryhall’s crosses however no one could get on the end of them.

After the break John Feetham in the Ryhall net was called into action to make a first class save - he leapt to somehow keep out a headed effort which was sailing into the top corner.

Ryhall are at Wisbech Town Reserves tomorrow.
