Oakham School’s 1st XI are celebrating after winning the BOWS festival for the first time.

The competition features Brighton College, Wellington College and Sedbergh as well as Oakham School, and the Rutlanders’ victory rounded off an excellent first season in charge for John Crawley with Oakham’s Jack Crace named Player of the Tournament.

Crawley said: “Winning the festival is a great achievement for the boys. The quality of cricket was superb throughout and it was a pleasure to be involved.

“Henry Foster captained the side superbly and led them excellently on and off the field.”
