There was double success for Stamford ABC this month as a pair of fighters from the club recorded victories.

Harry Bell, 15, travelled to Hull and boxed Doohan Blackburn from City of Hull Boxing Club .

This was a last minute bout for Bell but due to his hard work in the gym, short notice to compete was not a problem for him.

Blackburn was the more experienced boxer but Bell has the ability to adapt his style of boxing and he is not one to be messed with when it comes to stamina and fast punching ability .

His opponent found both these factors a problem in the three round contest which was an exciting bout.

Bell stood strong and wore his opponent down with his skilful combinations, the result was a very convincing win for the Stamford fighter .

Team mate Mo Sameer, 17, was also out representing Stamford ABC when he made the journey to Lincoln to meet his opponent Warren Mills from Bracebridge Boxing Club.

Sameer has had an amazing season already this year, he was awarded Stamford ABC boxer of the season with his outstanding record of wins. The bout was one of strength and total composure, punches were thought about and delivered with skill and accuracy.

Mills had it all to prove as he was boxing in front of his home fans . This only made Sameer more determined to prove he was the better boxer and the judges agreed, awarding him the win .
