Stamford AFC’s Integro Doodson League Cup game against Buxton which was due to be played tomorrow (Tuesday) night has been postponed.

Buxton’s FA Trophy match against Bradford Park Avenue on Saturday was abandoned at half time because of a water logged pitch caused by heavy rainfall.

The match will now be replayed on Tuesday and Buxton will visit the Zeeco Stadium on Tuesday, January 5 instead of this week.

It means the Daniels will have a week and a half off before travelling to Mickleover Sports in the Evo-Stik NPL on Saturday.

Stamford remain second from bottom of the league and are at least 10 points from safety.

Mickleover, who sit in 18th, will be one of the sides the Daniels will look to reel in as they fight to avoid the drop.
