Stamford AFC manager Graham Drury has secured most of his current squad for next season despite the club dropping down a league following relegation this year.

The core of the Daniels’ defence Tom Batchelor, Ollie Luto and Lee Beeson will play next season as will midfielders Jon Challinor, Sam Hill, Curtis Hartley, and Jake Duffy.

Up front Jordan Smith, Jake Newman and Greg Smith will once again be the men to get the goals.

Drury has also signed a new defender, Barwell’s Joe Elliott.

Meanwhile the Daniels’ top performers from a difficult season were recognised this week.

Players’ player of the year went to Greg Smith, who also finished as the club’s leading goalscorer.

Supporters’ player of the year was won by Challinor, the versatile midfielder was also presented with the Arthur Twiddy Memorial Shield.

And the manager’s trophy was picked by Hill.

Defender Paul Malone won the most man of the match awards.
