Stamford scored five goals for the second time in three days in their pre-season friendly with Swaffham Town on Tuesday night.

The Daniels had defeated AFC Rushden and Diamonds 5-3 on Saturday thanks to goals from James Blunden, Jonathan Margetts, Rob Morgan, Jon Challinor and Rodrigo Goncalves.

And Margetts was again target on Tuesday as he opened the scoring against their Thurlow Nunn League Division One visitors.

Cameron Johnson doubled the advantage six minutes later to give Stamford a two-goal cushion at the interval.

New signing Connor Furey opened his goalscoring account for the club just past the hour mark before Margetts netted his second of the game.

The win was sealed with 12 minutes remaining with Johnson again on target for a Stamford side who included six trialists in their 13-player squad.
