Internet service provider LightSpeed Broadband are the new sponsors of Stamford Rugby Club
Stamford Rugby Club has a new headline sponsor in internet service provider LightSpeed Broadband.
They will be working together closely throughout the season's events with the sponsorship also including providing new playing shirts for all junior and senior men’s and women’s teams and its coaches.
LightSpeed has been building its next generation full fibre gigabit broadband network in Stamford as part of its roll out across the East of England.
The company, which is managed by a team of highly experienced broadband experts from across the telecoms industry, including BT and TalkTalk, is on a mission to bring its full fibre network to communities across the East of England under-served by their existing broadband infrastructure unlocking their digital potential and becoming the region’s leading provider.
Mark Anderson, Stamford Rugby Club chairman, commented: “It’s great to have LightSpeed Broadband on board as our headline sponsor and the support they are bringing for the club.
"Lightspeed Broadband are a forward thinking business who understand the importance of rugby in the community so this partnership will benefit the hundreds of children we have playing at the club, the many volunteers that keep the club active and the first team who promote the club through great rugby every Saturday."
Steve Haines, chief executive officer for LightSpeed Broadband, added: “It was a pleasure to visit Stamford Rugby Club to meet some of the players and to hear how valued the club is locally.
"As we build our full fibre broadband network in towns across the East of England, we’re keen to work together and get involved with the local communities to make a real difference to residents and we’re delighted to be supporting Stamford Rugby Club.
"We look forward to meeting more of the teams, their families and the wider community at the club’s upcoming fixtures."
