Round-up of the Saturday action featuring Stamford AFC, Cottesmore, Blackstones FC and Bourne Town

Stamford smashed Belper's brilliant 17-match unbeaten run to make FA Trophy progress with a terrific 3-0 away win on Saturday.

The Daniels led their BetVictor Northern Premier League South East Division rivals at the break courtesy of Jon Challinor's 43rd minute strike.

Olly Brown-Hill - who had set up Challinor's opening goal - then doubled the Daniels advantage just past hour mark with an exquisite finish from a free-kick which he fired into the top corner.

Their place in the first round proper was then secured two minutes later when Cosmos Matwasa scored the third for a Stamford side who were without strike duo James Hicks and Tom Siddons as well as skipper Cleveland Taylor.

Defender Charlie Ward has departed the Daniels to join Premier Division neighbours Grantham Town.

Cottesmore's record-breaking run in the FA Vase was ended after a 3-1 away defeat at Clay Cross Town in their first round proper clash.

Skipper Jordan Smith had got Cottesmore back on level terms in the second half, but two goals in the latter stages denied the Rutland side a third successive away Vase victory in their first-ever season in the competition.

An eighth successive United Counties League Division One victory moved Blackstones up to second spot in the table after a 4-0 away win at Whittlesey.

Joe Moore-Papworth's 39th minute opener was followed two minutes later by a Ricky Hailstone own goal to put Stones in control at the break.
