Deeping Rangers defeated by Wellingborough Town in the United Counties League clash

Deeping Rangers suffered their first league loss of the season after an eventful Premier Division clash with unbeaten Wellingborough Town at the Haydon Whitham Stadium on Tuesday night.

The Clarets were forced to play more than 50 minutes of the United Counties League match with 10 men following the dismissal of skipper David Burton-Jones.

Both sides were each awarded a penalty during a keenly-contested encounter with Jake Sansby's successful strike giving Deeping a 2-1 lead early in the second half.
