Stamford Tennis Club win two accolades at Lincolnshire Tennis' annual awards event
Stamford Tennis Club have netted an awards double.
The Conduit Road-based club bagged a brace of accolades at Lincolnshire Tennis' annual awards event that was held virtually over the weekend.
They were named Club of the Year after successfully navigating a difficult and challenging 2020 while CJ Selvidge won the Coach of the Year award.
The club were praised for staying abreast of ever-changing lockdown rules and keeping all members fully informed with safety as an absolute priority.
Selvidge's achievement came after he held off competition from 12 other excellent nominees.
He is a director of R2R Tennis and schools co-ordinator as well as Lincolnshire's 11-years and under boys team manager.
Stamford chairman Mark Anderson enthused: "CJ is a personable and engaging coach and loves developing the next generation of team player.
"He is a great asset to Stamford Tennis Club who are thrilled that he has won this much-deserved award."
The club has recently had refurbishments to their courts as well as new floodlights which will be in use as soon as permitted once the national lockdown is lifted.
