Two of United’s coaches – Matt Holland and Andy McGowan – are also in the running for awards after being nominated in the Grassroots Coach of the Year category.

Sutton added: “Matt deserves a massive well done because he works so hard through quite a few age groups as well as adult football and thoroughly deserves this nomination.

“Andy only joined the club last season and has helped run our Under 13s who had a very successful season so he deserves massive congratulations.

“He has also joined our committee as our fixtures secretary and done a fantastic job.

“As a club we love helping our community be it with football or in the current climate by just helping with food packages and deliveries to vulnerable people and it is very nice to be recognised by the FA.”
