Vale Judo launched its satellite judo class in Uppingham recently with 13 children now already on the mat and enjoying the sport.

The satellite club was established at Uppingham School Sports Centre with classes running on a Wednesday evening 6.30-7.30pm for ages 6 years and older.

Coaches Mike Newton and Giles Ashton-Roberts, supported by Vale Judo and England squad members Daniel Bennett and Sofia Palmer, who both live in or near the town, have run four classes in the town to date.
