Last week saw three more races completed in this season’s Harriers Club Series with only their own Grimsthorpe 10k to go on Bank Holiday Monday.
On Thursday last week Vaughan Roberts, Rich Lomas-Brown, Richard Smithers and Roland Stevens ran the Eye Charity 5.
Then on Sunday Rich Lomas-Brown, Richard Smithers and Roland Stevens ran at the Thorney 5, while Vaughan Roberts, Tony Gilbert, Shaun Towell, Mark Cochran & Phil Lengthorn completed the Newalk Half Marathon.
With only the final race to go Vaughan now leads the senior series from Lomas-Brown in silver place and Tony Gilbert in bronze. While Natalie Cole holds gold in the ladies series from Nicky Asplin in silver and Penny Lamb in bronze.
Entry details to Grimsthorpe 10k and 3k fun run can be found on the Harriers website. This year in addition to the usual show, there is also a music festival so it provides excellent value for money once again.
Bourne Town Harriers main club training night is on Tuesday’s starting promptly at 6.30pm, while junior specific training is on Friday’s from 6pm to 7pm. A further senior training night is on Thursdays.
